Dr. Gary Kirk, Acting Associate Medical Officer of Health and CEO, has issued a Level 1 heat alert for Windsor-Essex County for Tuesday July 17th with a humidex value of 40°C (104°F) or higher in the forecast.
Environment Canada predicts that temperatures will soar into the 33°C to 37°C or 91°F to 99°F range on Tuesday.
They say that Tuesday may be the hottest day so far this year in some spots of the province.
A return to seasonal temperatures and somewhat less humid conditions are expected on Wednesday.
