The Downtown Windsor Business Improvement Association along with the Downtown Windsor Business Revitalization Association have issued a call for volunteers for Balloonapalooza which takes place August 25th and 26th.
Balloonapalooza organizers are promising entertainment for people of all ages. The festival includes giant cold air balloons and inflatables; live outdoor music concerts; bustling sidewalk cafés; a mini express train; a midway; slides and bouncers; balloon artists, clowns, buskers and more.
Each year the festival is supported by local volunteers who generously donate their time, talents and energy to help present this great event, and need help from Windsorites who are aged 13+, to fill many positions including actors for inflatable balloon costumes, face painters, mimes, magicians, bands and solo acts, as well as general help with set-up and take down of the festival. High school students are also encouraged to participate and earn hours towards their community service involvement.
If this sound like something for you, then you are asked to download the volunteer application form from the festival website here. Application forms can then be emailed to Liam McWade at [email protected] and Erica Iarusso at [email protected], or dropped off at the DWBIA’s Offices located at 474 Ouellette Avenue, Windsor.
