The information listed below is likely outdated and has been preserved for archival purposes.
It only took a day, but the University of Windsor’s “Old Drama” building is no more.
The old Dramatic Arts building was built in 1953 and was a one story building with a partial second floor and partial basement which connected to the University’s vast network of high pressure steam utility tunnels. It had been sitting idle since the Jackman Dramatic Art Centre opened in September 2003.
When cleanup of the site is compete, construction of a new Campus Welcome Centre will begin. Construction will displace the visitor lot located next to the Old Drama building.
