This Saturday, the Downtown Windsor Farmers’ Market will open for its fourth season at the old bus depot with over 20 local vendors featuring fresh, local produce, area artisans and entrepreneurs, baked goods and prepared foods and live entertainment.
The market’s grand opening starts at 8am and will include free goody bags for the first 40 guests, a meet-and-greet with the Border City Brawlers, live entertainment and more.
Shoppers will see many familiar faces with returning vendors like Dockside Fisheries, Hylander Farms (beef) Mimi’s Fruits & Vegetables, Pawsitively a Dog Thing, Nana’s Bakery, Specialty Bakery, Perry Noia the Clown and others. New additions this year include DiPietro Farms, Bouchard Gardens, The Butcher of Kingsville and other unique entrepreneurs.
The market is opener every Saturday until October 6th from 8am to 1pm.
With plans by the University of Windsor to take over the bus depot, this very well could be the last year for the market in this location.
The Downtown Farmers’ Market is the last of the three local Farmers’ Markets to open for the season. Amherstburg’s and Riverside’s both opened in May.
