Last week unforeseen circumstances left us with a Windsor Scene re-run, but we’re back at it this week with plenty of awesome stuff, jamming two weeks of material into one!
A track that I’m super stoked to present to you all, the new Odium single, “Insomia” from the album Burning the Bridges to Nowhere. These guys played the DH a few weeks back along with a bunch of killer locals, and will be back in town on July 7th. You won’t wanna miss that one.
From a killer show Monday night at Villains we’ll hear from Anchoress out of BC and Ghostship Victoria from London. As well, a band that I can never find too many reasons to play, Five Alarm Funk will get some airtime in honour of their show Tuesday night at Phog. Who knows, we might even dig back into the archives and hear a bit of last year’s interview with the band.
In addition to all that, we’ll have some Falling With Glory to help you all get stoked for their new music video release Thursday night at Loft, Sam Roberts Band to celebrate their upcoming appearances at Dr. Disc and Caesars this Friday, and Magnificent Basterds in prep for their show at FM on Saturday night.
And of course there will be plenty of other fun listenables, only on your best source for local music, The Windsor Scene, every Wednesday from 5 until 6:30 pm on CJAM 99.1 FM. There are even streaming and podcast options for the radio-less.
