A search is currently underway on Lake Erie for a missing 45-year-old male.

Leamington OPP say that two males were out on a sailboat in Lake Erie 2 km off shore near Point Pelee National Park gates, when it capsized around 6pm. The two males were able to flip the boat upright, one male got back in,  but the wind started to take the sailboat before the other male was able to get on the boat.

OPP say that RCC Trenton has been notified and is currently on route.   OPP, US Coast Guard, and Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary are all currently searching for the missing male.

OPP have not released names at this time.
