Tuition at the University of Windsor Planned to Increase as Much as 8% in September 2012

Increases in tuition and fees are coming in September for University of Windsor students. The UWindsor Board of Governors met Tuesday evening to discuss planned fee increases for the 2012/2013 school year.
A tuition increase of 4.5% for all first year graduate students was recommended alongside an increase of 4% for all upper-year students.
First year domestic undergraduate students in the Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Law and Joint American-Canadian Juris Doctor programs will face an 8% increase in tuition fees in September. Domestic students in programs other than these will face a 4.5% increase in their first year and 4% increase in subsequent years, amounting to $119.65 and approximately $105 in additional fees per semester, respectively.
Tuition fees for undergraduate international students are planned to increase between 1.9% and 8% while fees for graduate degrees for both domestic and international students will increase between 0 and 8%, depending on the program.
Other planned increases include student services such as University of Windsor Student Alliance fees, CAW Student Centre Expansion fees, Sports and Recreation capital fees, and a variety of dental and drug plan fee changes.
