Update (Sunday April 29th, 4:25pm): Windsor Police are still investigating. It has been determined that the incident happened in the upper unit at the residence and neither the victim nor shooter is believed to reside there. The victim underwent surgery for multiple gunshot wounds and is in stable condition. Several witnesses have been interviewed but Police are still looking for more information. The suspect is still at large.
Windsor Police’s Major Crime and Investigative Branches are investigating a shooting which occurred at a residence at 1091 Marentette Street during the early morning hours of Saturday April 28th, 2012.
A 28 year old Toronto man suffered several gunshot wounds and is currently being treated at hospital. The wounds do not appear to be life threatening.
The shooting is not considered to be a random act. The victim and suspect are associated to one another. Police do not have any suspects in custody at this time. The weapon has not been found at this time.
