Downtown Windsor Family Aquatic Centre Construction: Week 4

Preparations for construction of the new Downtown Windsor Family Aquatic Complex on the Western Super Anchor site are moving along.

This week, construction crews began adjusting soil on the site in preparation for excavation. Most existing grass and brush and pavement has been removed from the former roads and parking lots that occupied the site. Crews have began excavation on the south west side of the property to realign storm and sanitary sewers that previously ran under Chatham Street.

Construction of the aquatic facility is planned to progress in time for the International Children’s Games in August 2013.
