Arts Council Windsor & Region Announces the Appointment of New Full-Time Executive Director

After conducting an extensive search, the Board of the Arts Council Windsor & Region announced the appointment of Michelle Le Chien as their new Executive Director.
Michelle comes to the Arts Council with public relations, grant writing, market research, budgetary and project management expertise. Michelle has a Bachelor of Fine Arts Honour Degree from the University of Guelph with a minor in Art History. Michelle brings a variety of experience to the ACWR with most recent activities as the Assistant Curator and Registrar of the Tom Thomson Art Gallery in Owen Sound, Ontario, where she was involved with the promotion and coordination of many local and internationally exhibited artists, juried exhibitions and public programs. She is also a past Director of the Leamington Arts Centre, where she managed the Gallery space while initiating and coordinating many public exhibitions and events. In addition to Michelle’s background in Curation and Arts Administration she also has hosted a weekly television art show interviewing local artists in Windsor and Essex County, and has broad administrative experience from prior employment outside of the arts sector.
