Downtown Beer Store Construction Progressing

Windsor’s Downtown Beer Store on Wyandotte Street East will be moving later this year once construction of its 6,800 square foot new location is finished.
Since early December, construction has progressed to a completed structure, exterior work is being completed and interior work has started.
The Beer Store’s current Wyandotte Street location stands in the way of proposed improvements to the Windsor-Detroit tunnel Plaza and will be demolished in mid-2012.
The new location is on the site of the former Sheldon’s Central Chrysler dealership located at 790 Goyeau kitty-corner to the Windsor Fire and Rescue Headquarters.
An additional 4,800 square feet of retail space will be added in the second phase of construction.
