Windsor’s Population Falls to 210,000 in 2011 Census

Portions of Canada’s 2011 Census Data was released to the public today and Windsor’s population has taken a hit.
In 2006, the population in Windsor was 216,473 and has fallen by 2.6% to 210,891 in 2011.
While Windsor’s population has fallen, neighbouring LaSalle’s has grown by 3.6% from 27,652 in 2006 to 28,643 in 2011. Lakeshore also grew from 33,245 in 2006 to 34,546 in 2011, a growth of 3.9%.
Tecumseh’s population fell by 2.5% from 24,224 in 2006 to 23,610 in 2011.
