UWindsor Student? Ride the Bus Free This Week

Full-time undergraduate students at the University of Windsor will get to ride Transit Windsor for free this week.

Transit Windsor is looking to give students a change to experience the services that they offer.  All students need to do is show a valid student card for a free fare.

This free ride comes on the heels of a vote of all University students on March 7th for the U-Pass program, that if passed would give all students on campus a bus pass at a reduced rate. The current price of a one month student bus pass is $55 per month or $440 per year.

If the mandatory, no opt-out  UWindsor U-Pass does pass in the vote, the cost would be:
Year 1 – $11.25 per month, or $45.00 per semester
Year 2 – $12.50 per month, or $50.00 per semester
Year 3 – $13.75 per month, or $55.00 per semester
Year 4 – $13.75 per month, or $55.00 per semester
Year 5 – $14.37 per month, or $57.50 per semester
