The Back Room Gallery Artists’ Co-op at 4749 Wyandotte in Pillette Village is part of a growing community of galleries and framers in the east-end neighbourhood. Vistors are met by a welcoming atmosphere making browsing a real treat. Dozens of artists share the gallery. If you’re looking for pottery, fashion, fine art, or jewelery there is plenty to please the eye, and to suit every taste.
The Back Room Gallery also provides specialised space and services for local artists. Membership in the co-op provides ongoing mentorship for emerging artists, classes and workshops in sewing and art are held throughout the year. Studios are also available for rent, including a painting studio rented at $200.00 monthly, a pottery studio at $25.00 for 3 hours, and a fully functioning darkroom (coming very soon) at $25.00 for 3 hours.
The Back Room Gallery is located next to Nancy John’s Gallery and Framing, with parking in the rear. Stop by the gallery open Tuesday – Saturday 10 am – 6 pm. The gallery is closed Sunday and Monday.
