The city is currently seeking expressions of interest for the purchase, demolition, and redevelopment of the former Wickes Windsor Bumper Manufacturing Plant.
The City of Windsor obtained the property on Tecumseh Road East through tax arrears last year. The plant closed in 1990, and has environment risks, with deposits of chromium, copper and nickel being left behind on the site.
Expressions of interest will be accepted by he city until January 31st. There will be a site visit for those interested at Former Wickes Windsor Bumper Manufacturing Plant on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at 1pm.
