Windsor Light Music Theatre presents Into the Woods, continuing this weekend in Downtown Windsor.
The musical intertwines the plots of several Brothers Grimm fairy tales and follows them further to explore the consequences of the characters’ wishes and quests. The main characters are taken from the stories of Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, Rapunzel, and Cinderella, tied together by a more original story involving a baker and his wife and their quest to begin a family. In Into the Woods leads a conglomeration of new and old storybook characters on just such a journey of growth and self-discovery.
The play runs Friday and Saturday at 8:00 pm and Sunday at 2:00 pm at The Chrysler Theatre at the St. Clair College Centre for the Arts on Riverside Drive West.
