The rainfall warning that was issued by Environment Canada on Monday for the region has now been lifted.
The flood advisory issued by The Essex Region Conservation Authority does continue for the area. This is in effect for the areas of the northeast shoreline of Pelee Island and the east shoreline of the Municipality of Leamington, the most westerly reach of Lake St. Clair in the Municipalities of Tecumseh and Windsor.
The OPP report one weather related incident this morning.  A Tecumseh motorist was traveling on North Talbot Road east of Old Castle Road in Tecumseh when he lost control and flipped into a ditch. The ditch was full of water due to the excessive rainfall and the vehicle was sinking fast. Two passing motorists observed this and immediately jumped into the cold water and pulled the 72 year old out of the vehicle. Paramedics treated everyone at the scene for minor exposure and no one taken to hospital.
