The Arts Council of Windsor Region is launching a new Creative Careers workshops series entitled WE-LAUNCHED.

This is a new series of intensive 1 and 2 day skill-building workshops, where artists can access local industry professionals for practical hands-on techniques and advice. Workshop topics are applicable to artists from any discipline area, be it music, visual arts, crafts and more.

WE-LAUNCHED is a chance for local artists to empower themselves, learn a new skill set from business professionals and take your career to the next level.

Workshop Number one is titled “Business & Branding: Learning the Art of Self-Promotion”

Guided by local artist Daniel Bombardier (DENIAL) artists will learn the importance of building an image for themselves, learn about self promotion, create taglines and design and print their own business cards.

The workshop will be held on  Monday October 24th 2011 from 6:00 pm to 10:00pm at Artspeak Gallery and  Tuesday October 25th 2011 from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm at The Printhouse.

WE-LAUNCHED Workshops are only $10.00 for Arts Council Windsor Region members and $15.00 for non-members.

More workshops are planned for November.
