A new resident’s association is being formed in one of Windsor’s oldest and historic neighbourhoods.
The Olde Walkerville Residents Association will hold its official launch on Wednesday October 26th.
The Association has been formed to promote, support, facilitate, coordinate, or undertake activities that will enhance the well-being and character of the Olde Walkerville community. The Association hopes to be able to provide a forum for dialogue on neighbourhood issues, work to maintain the the character of Olde Walkerville’s, work to preserve it’s many historically significant buildings, and maintain green space and parks within the community.
They have set the following defining boundaries of the Association: The West side of Gladstone Avenue, Riverside Drive to the North, the East side of Walker Road and the South side of Ottawa Street.
Membership or a “Friend of the ‘Hood” membership for any non-Walkerville residents can be purchased at the launch for $5.00.
