The College Avenue Bridge came down Monday (Chris Richards)

University of Windsor students arrived back in town this week, as 1,300 freshpersons moved into dorms across campus.  On Labour Day Monday, the Windsor Lancers Football Team won their season opener against the Toronto Varsity Blues, with a final score of 38-5.

The University of Windsor Student Alliance held the first annual Coming Home Music Festival that saw thousands of students gather at Windsor’s Riverfront Festival Plaza on Tuesday night.

West Side residents were happy to see the College Avenue bridge come down on Monday.  A new bridge is set to be in place by Christmas.

Blockbuster Video announced store closing details, and all four Windsor locations started going-out-of-business sales on Friday.
