AT 8:49 am on Saturday 3 September 2011 Environment Canada issued a severs Thunderstorm Watch.
Severe thunderstorms possible this afternoon, with large hail, damaging winds or heavy rainfall.
A cold front is expected to sweep across Southwestern Ontario this afternoon. A very hot and humid airmass over these regions will provide sufficient energy for strong thunderstorms to develop this afternoon over Sarnia and Windsor regions. Some of these thunderstorms may become severe with large hail, damaging winds, and torrential downpours.
