Aug. 19 - The Windsor Selects defeat the Moncton Cubs in the opening rounds of the Canadian Junior Baseball Championships being held at Mic Mac Park.

August 19, 2011 – The Windsor Selects junior baseball team swept their first three games on Friday at the Canadian Junior Baseball Championships being held at Mic Mac Park. With rain cancelling several games on Thursday, Windsor needed to make up a game on Friday, handing them a grueling triple header. Managing not only a win in all three games, Windsor never game up a run, winning 7-0 against Saskatchewan, 7-0 again against Manitoba, then 4-0 against Moncton.
