Highway 401 Reopens Early After North Talbot Bridge Demolition

Highway 401 leading in and out of Windsor has reopened earlier than expected.

Starting at 3:00 am Saturday morning, crews demolished the North Talbot Road bridge over Highway 401 marking it the first official project to start on the W-E Parkway. Highway 401 eastbound between Highway 3 and Provincial Road, and Highway 401 westbound between Manning Road and Highway 3, was scheduled to be closed for bridge demolition until Monday morning at 5:00 am.

Workers completed the bridge demolition earlier than expected and the 401 reopened around 4:30pm Sunday afternoon.
