Basement Flooding, Windsor? Get $2,800 for a Sump Pump

When storms roll in, basements flood. At least that’s the way things work in certain parts of Windsor.

The City of Windsor has expanded their Basement Flooding Protection Subsidy Program (BFP) citywide and will be assisting homeowners with the purchase of sump pumps and other flood protection devices such as back-water valves.

The City has pegged a maximum subsidy of $2,800 per home/unit under the BFP. Homeowners must be up to date on their taxes to qualify, and must understand that the program does not cover replacements, upgrading or the installation of an additional sump pump.
