Local photographer Jamie Baxter is running a show of his work at Artspeak gallery on Wyandotte Street East.

The photos therein are a mix of colour as well as black and white. The subjects range from people to places and regardless; there is a familiarity to be felt when looking at them. The places stand out most of all as they draw the viewer in. It is a sense of having been there before and vaguely recalling it.

The show runs from June 13 to the 18.
Gallery hours are Monday to Friday 1 to 5 p.m. and Saturdays 12- 4 p.m. The reception will be on June 16 from 7- 10 p.m.
