Severe Thunderstorm Watch Issued

As of 1:49 PM on Sunday, Environment Canada has issued a Severe thunderstorm watch for Windsor, Leamington and Essex County.
Severe thunderstorms moving into Southwestern Ontario later this afternoon and evening. This is an alert to the potential development of severe thunderstorms with large hail, damaging winds or heavy rainfall.
A large complex of severe thunderstorms near Lake Michigan is moving rapidly eastward at 90 km/h towards Southwestern Ontario. These storms are expected to reach regions near the Michigan border after 5PM and then continue racing eastwards before crossing into Lake Erie. The main threat from these storms will be damaging winds, large hail and torrential rain although there is also the possibility of isolated tornadoes.
