Tomorrow Windsor will be celebrating its 119th year of existence as a certified city. To commemorate the transition from town to city back in 1892, all Windsorites are invited to participate in a day of events and celebration.
Beginning with a warm up at 10:15 AM at Assumption Park, join the 5th Annual Mayor’s Walk. With a departure time set for 10:30, the walk will bring all participants along the riverfront to Dieppe Gardens with Mayor Eddie Francis leading the way. Growing in popularity every year, one can also expect to see strong representation from a variety of Windsor organizations and charities as well, such as BANA, Windsor Endowment for the Arts, Windsor Pride, and The Multicultural Council to name a few.
From 11:00 am until 2:00 pm at Dieppe Gardens there will be an assortment of live entertainment, activities, and attractions for everyone. Food, cupcakes, and even official Windsor birthday cake will be available alongside Tim Hortons coffee and bottled water.
