Korda Artistic Productions is preparing to boldly go where no double bill has gone before. On April 8th, Shakespeare’s The Comedy of Errors and Titus Andronicus will open for a two weekend run.
This production has a twist though:
Each pared down to about an hour and a quarter, the plays are being presented as long lost episodes of everyone’s favourite sci-fi TV show! In The Comedy of Errors, a transporter accident splits the captain and his ensign into two alter egos, and then beams the halves down to two warring planets. Will the ever-logical first officer be able to reunite them before it’s too late? In Titus Andronicus, an ancient alien culture’s warped sense of honour leads to horror and bloody tragedy, as a wronged enemy queen takes her gruesome vengeance on a great warrior and his family. Broad farce and Senecan tragedy, both on the same program: a challenge for any acting company, but Korda has never shied away from a challenge.
Showtimes are April 8, 9, 14, 15 & 16 at 8:00pm, and Sunday April 10 at 2:00pm.
Tickets are $15.00 for adults and $10.00 for students & seniors. Thursday April 14 is Pay What You Can. Tickets can be purchased at the door or at Nancy Johns Gallery and Framing.
The Kordazone Theatre is located at 2520 Seminole in Windsor, one block east of Walker Road.
