In the first period Stephen Johnston scored off the very first shot on goal within just a minute of the opening puck drop.  Tom Kuhnhackl added another goal just three minutes later.  The Spits’ 2-0 lead was cut short when Saginaw’s McFarland and Chiarot scored to tie the game going into the second period.

In the second period the Kuhnhackl-Khokhlachev-Carrick line was very productive with Kuhnhackl and Carrick adding another two goals for Windsor before Saginaw’s Ross and Saad in the third period tied the game up forcing overtime.

In the overtime period the game winning goal was scored by Josh Shalla.  This win makes the series 1-1.

The game three is Tuesday night in Saginaw, Michigan.  The next home game is Thursday night.
