On the Saturday of Mother’s Day weekend, CAA South Central Ontario, Trees Ontario and the City of Windsor will be hosting a free community tree planting event. This Annual Community Planting Weekend is designed to bring families, volunteers and CAA members together, to take part in a 1/2 day tree planting activity, promoting community engagement and environmental action.
The planting will take place at McHugh Park located to the east of WFCU Centre & adjacent to naturalized Little River Corridor from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon, and will be held rain or shine.
All you need to bring is a shovel, gardening gloves and lots of energy! It’s a great way for families to spend part of the Mothers Day weekend and help green the community at the same time.
