Work to upgrade the street scape in Windsor’s Little Italy will get under way this spring.  At Wednesday’s Capital Budget session Council will be asked to approve the awarding of the tender to Coco Paving at a cost of $2,425,670 for phase 1 of the project.

The work will take place on Erie Street from Howard Avenue to Pierre Avenue.  The street scape design is known as La Bella Strada and will feature more trees, flowers  and larger outdoor patios.

Other work includes new water mains and storm sewers.   A roundabout will be added to the intersection of Eire Street East and Parent Avenue.
