Auditor General Back at Council Tonight

Tonight’s meeting of Windsor City Council starts an hour earlier at 5:00pm and the agenda for the evening is very light with only one big issue for council to deal with.
The issue of Auditor General will once again be back before Council. A report authored by Mayor Eddie Francis and other top City Administration is recommending to Council that the position be offered to the candidate that the Audit Committee has recommended. The report also recommends that the candidate which has been recommended gets a City purchasing card for expenses and that all expenses incurred by the Auditor generals Office be published on the City’s website regularly. The Auditor General’s Office will have a budget of $350,000.
Council will also be asked to approve some alley closings and construction tenders for E.C Row Avenue.
Council’s meeting is short as members of Council will be heading to the St. Clair Center for the Arts for 7:30pm to take part in the Most Intelligent Community activities.
