At the Monday January 10th meeting of City Council a report from the Planning Advisory Council will be presented for the approval of the development of an outdoor mini golf and parking area in East Windsor.
The proposed development is planned at 11210-11236 Tecumseh Road East just west of Banwell on the north side.
Currently the site is home to an auto repair/Service garage and one residential unit, and the rear portion of the property is vacant, and that is where the mini golf is proposed to be located. All existing building on site will be kept, and a new covered shelter and bathroom building will be constructed to support the mini golf operations.
The applicants conducted some informal market research, which in turn convinced them that there is a market for an outdoor mini golf business in the city.
The new mini golf will also create a number of season jobs for students. It is proposed that it will operate from late April/early May until late October.
The applicants hope to have this up and running by the summer, as they note that there is no mini golf venue located within the city limits.
