We might have had great week-end weather but, – can you believe it? – Christmas is six weeks away!!! If you are taking your time cleaning out your children’s closet and hoping that this past weekend is a sign of spring coming, not winter, and if you still have those nice coats you bought just because you loved the colour or they looked really cute on the rack but later on decided it was not quite the latest fashion and your daughter/ son adamantly refused to wear them, please consider donating to the Coats for Kids program.
Although the official campaign ended on October 31st, coats are still being accepted by the Unemployed Help Center at 6955 Cantelon Drive, Windsor, Ontario.
There are thousands of children in Windsor Essex who would benefit from your donation. This past Saturday, four locations in Windsor and other locations in Amherstburg, Essex, Leamington and Belle River opened their doors for the families in need.
This year, the coat distribution will be available for only one week beginning Saturday November 6 until Friday November 12, 2010.
For a full list of distribution sites as well as hours of distribution, please visit the Unemployed Help Center website here.
For donations, please contact Unemployed Help Center, more info here.
