Did you know Windsor has a strong comic book / graphic novel / pulp fiction community? From The Comic Book Syndicate to a handful of dedicated comic shoppes, we’re a town where you may actually be able to find that rare X-men, or at least get a summary of the history of Marvel from someone who knows.
As part of FAM Fest, Artcite Gallery in Downtown Windsor is hosting a FREE graphic fiction night on Thursday.
Mike-EL of the Comic Book Syndicate is moderating the event, and celebrity comic guests Tony Gray (creator of The Incredible Conduit which appears in the Windsor Star), Johnny Desjardins (a Windsor comic artist who has done covers for Green Hornet and Robocop), and Jay Fabok (cover artist for Flash, Superman/Batman) will be in attendance.
GRAPHIC FICTION IN WINDSOR takes place on Thursday Oct. 7, 7:00 PM at ARTCITE (it’s free!), 109 University Avenue West.
