It may be indie and metal weekend in Windsor, but country music fans were rocking to the sounds of grassroots Alberta-country band Hey Romeo last night on Windsor’s East end.

The free outdoor concert, put on by the WFCU Centre, radio station Windsor’s FM959 and the Dodge Family Rodeo (taking place this weekend) brought Canadian Country Music Award-nominated band Hey Romeo to town for a two-hour set — during the sun set on Friday.

Hey Romeo has been nominated for Group Of The Year, Web Site Of The Year, Best Guitarist and Best Keyboardist under the CCMA’s and continues their Ontario mini-tour through Sunday.
