August 26th, 2010 – Windsor, Ontario: A citizen found what is believed to be a human thumb in the Detroit River right next to the 3200 block of Russell Street in Windsor’s west end around 5pm Thursday evening.
According to Sergeant Ducharme, who was at the scene, the Windsor Police Marine Unit is currently being dispatched to search the area. The investigation is ongoing.
Upon further investigation, the Windsor Police have indicated that they have recovered an unidentified body from the water where the thumb was originally found. This has been reported on the new CrimeReports website.

August 27th, 2010 – Leamington, Ontario: A second unidentified body was discovered today in Leamington off the shores of Lake Erie. Police have confirmed the identity of the deceased, but will not release their name until Sunday.
The cause of death is unknown at this time pending an autopsy.
