Windsor took home the prize — bragging rights — at the 25th annual Tug Across The River “USA vs CANADA” tug-o-war competition at Dieppe Park Friday evening.
The yearly competition, where enlisted volunteers pull in a long rope stretched to the middle of the river, was over in three minutes and thirty-two seconds.
On the US side, volunteers pulled in their rope from Hart Plaza. The American team finished with a time of 4:02.
Canada is nearly tied with the USA over twenty-five years of the event, the Americans have 13 wins while Canadians have won twelve times.
