Hello time traveller!!
This article is 5043 days old.
The information listed below is likely outdated and has been preserved for archival purposes.

The first robbery occurred at a convenience store at the intersection of Tecumseh Road and Lincoln around 10:30pm. A lone white male robbed the store clerk at gunpoint with a black handgun. The suspect demanded cash from the register and also went behind the counter to grab some cigarette packs as well as an undisclosed quantity of cash. He is described as as about 5’10”, with a thin build, and was last seen getting into a the passenger side of a black vehicle and heading northbound on Chilver from the Windsor Chapel Funeral Home. The vehicle was described as being either a newer model Ford Focus or Pontiac G6 with tinted windows, shiny rims, and a spoiler on the back.

As the robber ran from the convenience store to the waiting get-away car near the Windsor Chapel, a bystander on the street tackled the suspect. The suspect was able to escape the bystander’s grasp and that’s when he entered the passenger side of the vehicle which then sped off northbound on Chilver.

The second robbery occurred at a convenience store at the intersection of University Avenue and Campbell at about 10:49pm. Again, a lone white male robbed the convenience store at gunpoint. He was wearing a grey t-shirt and a surgical mask over his face. He is described as about 5’6″, with a slim build, and round face. The gun he brandished was black with brown plastic trim. He was last seen running through the parking lot and then southbound in an alleyway near University Avenue West.

It is unknown if both crimes are related, but they do seem awfully similar. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 519-258-8477.
