A natural gas line was severed on Rose Ville Garden Drive near Tecumseh Road East around noon on Thursday. The roadway was reduced to one lane and traffic was heavily backed up.
Around 1:20pm, a male driver was trying to turn onto Rose Ville Garden Drive, which was closed down by Windsor Fire & rescue. The driver became enraged at the road closure, drove around the pylons, and began mouthing off at the fire captain, who’s engine was also blocking the roadway. The driver than peeled off and nearly ran over the fire captain’s foot in fit of rage.
The driver is described as a white male, appearing to be between the ages of 35 and 40, driving a silver Jeep Cherokee, bearing an Ontario marker similar to BCK 390. He was last seen heading westbound on Tecumseh Road towards Jefferson.
A bizarre incident occurred around 2:55pm on Goyeau Street near the Food Basics. A man was seen walking two poodles along the sidewalk, carrying a bottle of pepper spray and threatening to kill people. The man is described as a white male, wearing a black shirt and black hat. It is unsure what provoked the man to make the death threats nor is it clear why he was carrying pepper spray, which is a restricted weapon in Canada.
