Saturday May 15th was Windsor’s day for the dogs!
Between a highly publicized event calling for the tightening of animal cruelty laws in Ontario and a showcase of extremely talented canines , thousands of Windsorites proved their love and dedication for man’s-best-friend.
Presidents Choice’s Superdogs Unleashed, a national tour in its 33rd year of k-9 athletes and their trainers, made a visit to Windsor’s WFCU Centre on Saturday afternoon for an entertaining performance. The arena was all smiles and laughs as dogs “Hairy Pawter”, the “Wizard of Paws” and others jumped and soared cleverly to music.
The dogs and their owners broke off into two teams — green and orange — and competed snout to snout for the fastest time jumping through gates, winding through plastic tubes and over and around obstacles — in the name of treats!
