The CARHA Hockey World Cup is coming to Windsor and Essex County next April 3rd and 10th and help is needed from local volunteers.

Every four years, over 120 teams from 15+ countries travel to the host city for the week long event. It’s been labeled the “Olympics” of recreational hockey and since its inception it has grown to be the largest international adult-rec hockey tournament in the world.

Over 2,000 guests from 15 countries will be descending on the area for the week-long event.

Organizers say 200 volunteers will be required to ensure the participants and guests have an incredibly experience during their time in the Windsor area.

They are seeking volunteers for event preparation, media relations, welcome and hospitality, arena and technical, transportation, merchandise, special events, communications and promotion, cargo and delivery and sponsorship activation.

To apply to be a volunteer you can visit http://thecup2016.ca or email [email protected]
