Town Of Lakeshore Library Named

The Town of Lakeshore new Library will be called the Essex County Library – Toldo Foundation Branch.

The Toldo Foundation was started by philanthropist Anthony Toldo and has supported more than 20 organizations in the Windsor-Essex area.

“The Toldo Foundation has a long history of supporting schools and educational programs. I am happy they have joined us at the Atlas Tube Centre, supporting our new library” stated Barry Zekelman, Capital Campaign Chair.

The library is located at the Atlas Tube Centre. Aside from the library, the complex offers three NHL sized ice pads, all rinks equipped with figure skating harnesses. There is an indoor heated walking track, several community meeting spaces, a dance studio, an enlarged library providing free WI-FI throughout the complex, and a double gymnasium complete with indoor baseball netting.

The second phase, starting soon, will include our new WFCU community pools and splashpad, multi-purpose courts, tennis courts and 5km walking trail.
