Stephen Harper and officials from various levels of government announced today, shortly after 1pm, that both the Canadian and Michigan Governments have agreed to build a new bridge over the Detroit River.

“I do a lot of announcements, as you know, but this is a big one,” said Harper.

“This new bridge, the second across the Detroit River, is an investment in the future…and a celebration of the deep friendship that exists between the US and Canada.”
