Walker’s Fine Candies has been creating chocolates and treats since 1920.
Walker’s Fine Candies is the oldest chocolate factory in Windsor, now operated by the Obeid family (since 1989). Traditional chocolatier methods are still in use today, including the original copper pots, marble tables used to cool down chocolate and peanut brittle, and recipes passed down from the Walker family for over 90 years.
The shop offers a wide selection of chocolates made from scratch, including 18 different kinds of truffles, cream filled chocolates, chocolate covered caramels, almond bark, peanut brittle, marshmallow bars using Walker’s own marshmallow recipe, and more. Other special treats include their popular ice cream toppings, which come in hot chocolate fudge, chocolate, butterscotch, and peanut toffee. Sugar-free candies and chocolates are also available.
Special treats and gift baskets are always in the works for upcoming holidays (such as chocolate Easter bunnies) and they can also do custom orders for weddings, baby showers, and corporate events.
Walker’s Fine Candies is located at 2702 Howard Avenue and can be contacted by calling 519-253-2019. They are open Monday – Friday from 9:00am – 5:30pm and Saturdays from 9:00am – 3:00opm. You can also visit their webpage for more information.
