Back to Nature Specialty Shop opened their doors for business at 3750 Walker Road on May 25th, 2013.

“I discovered the Windsor area was noticeably lacking variety and food selection for individuals and families with diet restrictions, so I decided to open a store offering organic, gluten-free, dairy-free, sugar-free and vegan products,” said owner Teresa D. Liberato.

The well-organized shop has plenty to offer Windsor residents looking for natural, organic, vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free products they can’t find anywhere else in the city.

Back to Nature carries many unique products, including Advantage immune support products, athletic performance powder (made with 100% Canadian colostrum), SunWarrior gluten free and vegan protein powders and Lorna Vanderhaeghe’s supplements and herbal teas for women.

Some of their best-selling vegan food items include Gogo Quinoa, Daiya vegan dairy products, StarLite Cuisine, One Degree Organic Foods, Vegenaise mayonnaise, Field Roast grain made meat, Sweet & Sara vegan marshmallows, Big Mountain Foods, Earth Balance spreads and Phoney Baloney’s coconut bacon.

There are many gluten-free brands, such as PB2 (powdered peanut butter), Kinnikinik Foods, Bakery on Main (granola, snack bars, oatmeal), Enjoy Life (cookies and other treats), Namaste baking products, One Earth baking mixes and Dr. Joey’s Skinny Chews. Organic brands include SunParlor Honey from Cottam, Ontario, Prana snack foods, Eden Foods, Simply Organic (spices and sauce mixes), Xyla, Dixie Diner and Baker’s Deluxe sugar-free products.

The shop has been appointed Windsor’s premier retailer for Log Home Body Soap products, made by Kelly Fleming in Ruscom, Ontario. Log Home creates chemical free specialty soaps (including shampoo bars and soaps for shaving), body butters, deodorants, bug repellers and laundry cleaning alternatives. Also available are Suki organic vegan skincare items and natural beauty products by Benecos and Lavera.

Back to Nature Specialty Shop is located at 3750 Walker Road and can be contacted by calling 519-966-7908. They are open Monday to Friday from 10am – 6pm and Saturdays from 10am – 4pm. For more information and updates about new products you can visit their Facebook page.
