There are many people who think that Walkerville ends at Wyandotte Street East, but while the core Olde Walkerville area has many interesting and fantastic businesses, one which lies outside of that area is the Walker Grill.

Located inside a plaza on Walker Road, the Walker Grill shares the best of Walkerville, with the charm of Ottawa Street, and mixes an old fashioned diner feel with a family restaurant setting.

The Walker Grill was recently renovated inside and made to look more contemporary. Old, taped seats were reupholstered and the restaurant’s branding is prominent throughout.

Taking a look inside the restaurant for breakfast, the Walker Grill features an assortment of breakfast items with all of the fixin’s. The Grill is reputed for their tasty Greek dishes, and breakfast is no exception! The Walker Grill features a number of Omelette’s including a Gyro Omelette (with lamb and feta), a Greek Omelette (with feta, onions, tomatoes and olives), and others like Westerns, and a complex Chicken Breast Omelette.

Other breakfast items include egg sandwiches, Texas French Toast, Pancakes, and much more.

On the standard breakfast side of things, you can expect a hearty serving for the price of the Walker Grill’s combos.

The Grill has plenty of seating inside but fills up quickly on weekends and holidays.

Being a family restaurant, the Walker Grill features Kids Breakfast. For the picky eater, there’s a 1 egg and toast combo for only two dollars. If your child has a hearty appetite, the Walker Grill has a 1 egg plus breakfast with home fries or hashbrowns, or their choice of meat, for $3-4. There’s also a Fun Stuff list that includes things like French Toast, two pieces of meat and more, each for $3.

If you’re in Walkerville, give the Walker Grill a try! The Walker Grill is open Sundays to Tuesdays from 8am – 3pm, and Wednesdays to Saturdays from 8am – 8pm.
