The Twisted Apron wants to cook you some savoury cuisine – twisted style!

The Olde Walkerville restaurant has a menu full of taste bud delighting, one-of-a-kind meals covering breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a wide variety of homemade soups, salads and sides – including homemade kettle chips.

Breakfast is served until 3pm, so even late sleepers can indulge in their Buttermilk Pancakes (served with pure maple syrup or in house made fruit compote and your choice of bacon, peameal, house made sausage or apple sauce), Breakfast Flatbread (naan bread, bacon, cheddar, scrambled egg, spinach, with a sweet onion relish, served with hash browns) or a Pacific Waffle Sandwich (smoked salmon, goat cheese, red onion, avocado sauce and a fried egg served sandwich style on a quinoa and dill waffle and a side of homefries).

A long list of sandwiches will be sure to please any palate, including vegetarians and vegans. For omnivores there are deliciously fresh sandwiches and burgers made with local free range chicken and beef.

For dinner you can try their Twisted Burger (local AAA free range beef pattie, with truffle aioli, brie, heirloom tomato, fried onion and lettuce on a Kaiser) or the Quinoa Dinner Plate for vegetarians (quinoa with mixed greens, oven roasted tomatoes, feta and pears in a tangy maple Vinaigrette). But be sure to check out their colourful chalkboards announcing the homemade soups of the day, specials and save room for their delectable dessert choices, such as carrot cake or Fudgeo cupcakes.

The atmosphere is cozy, with hardwood floors, brick walls, large windows and friendly waitresses wearing cute and colourful aprons. Pull up a seat at their front window to watch the snow outside while staying cozy inside with a delectably warm soup.

Just next door is the The Twisted Apron General Store, offering a selection of fresh produce, baked goods, canned items and gifts. You can even buy your very own twisted apron to help inspire your next gourmet meal at home – or you could just leave it to the professionals at The Twisted Apron who will be more than happy to serve up a deliciously creative meal.
