Behind Devonshire Mall, you’ll find your go-to place for all things brass and woodwind repairs; Bell & Brace.

A former member of the Windsor Optimist Youth Band and Greater Windsor Concert Band, owner Nicole Bezaire says she’s always loved playing the saxophone growing up; “I wasn’t always the best at playing so much as I was interested in how the instruments worked.”

Bezaire attended school in Alberta, the only college that had a program (that is no longer available) specifically on brass and woodwind repairs. After working in British Columbia, she came home to kickstart her career.

Bell & Brace newly opened as of last week, and it specializes in regular maintenance, minor alignments, repadding, dents and cleaning. They take on instruments from oboes and flutes, to saxophones, trumpets and bassoons.

The shop is open Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 12pm–6pm, Thursdays and Wednesdays from 12pm–5pm, and Saturday from 9am–5pm. You can contact Nicole Bezaire at (226) 347-4364.
