The Dandelion, located at 12205 Riverside Drive East, opened its doors in the spring of 2014.

The home décor shop specializes in carrying Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. The paint is easy to use, requires no prep work (such as sanding or priming), and leaves a velvety, matte finish. Chalk Paint can be used on almost any surface, including wood, fabric, leather, metal, and more. The paint comes in a variety of colours such as French Linen, Emperor’s Silk, Barcelona Orange, English Yellow, and Napoleonic Blue.

Workshops are available for customers who want to learn hands on how to paint furniture with experienced instructors. For DIY enthusiasts, there are also decorative stencils by Royal Design Studio, and knobs to add the finishing touch to a newly painted piece of furniture.

For those who don’t like taking on DIY projects, the shop carries several pieces of furniture – both in natural wood, and painted with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. The shop also carries many unique items you can add to your home, including ornate mirrors, vintage inspired birdcages, decorative pillows, charming wreaths, and locally made Faerhaven soaps. New items are always being added, so no two visits will be the same.
